During ABD’s 25 years of operation we have gained a reputation of excellence in construction. As winners of multiple Parade of Homes, Aurora, and MAME awards, ABD has been recognized among the best in the industry. As a five time winner of the Orlando Business Journal’s Custom Home Builder of the Year award, ABD continues to lead the pack in custom home development and construction in Orlando.
The ABD Story continues today: plans for new developments in the heart of the Central Florida metro area are in preliminary stages. Providence and Toscana continue to add new construction and Windsor Landing nears sold out status.
Still growing Providence with unprecedented success, ABD wins four Grand Awards and two First Place Awards for Community Development at consecutive Orlando Parade of Homes competitions, as well as top awards for home design.
ABD’s Windsor Landing in Wyndham Lakes near Orlando International Airport begins offering high quality lakefront homes. Also that year, ABD breaks ground on Toscana in Palm Coast, a community of 200 lots set in a pristine coastal hammock just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.
ABD embarks upon its most ambitious development yet, Providence Golf and Country Club Community in Davenport, a multi-phase DRI project consisting of 2,200 acres of land with entitlements for 4,862 single family and multifamily units. Providence is an 18-hole golf course community with a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant, tennis courts, and resort pools. ABD welcomes the region’s best builders to participate in the community.
ABD develops two projects within the city of Windermere: Belmere (52 lots), and Whitney Isles (66 lots). Both projects sell in record time. Vizcaya earns ABD a landslide of industry awards in 2002 including the Grand Award for Best Selling Single Family Home in a twelve state region for the Casa Madeira estate home.
ABD rings in the new millennium with the announcement of its celebrated Vizcaya mixed-use development of high end lakefront single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums in the Dr. Phillips area on a peninsula in Big Sand Lake. Construction begins in 2002 and completes in 2008 with 422 new luxury homes and total sales of over $230 million.
ABD continues with Lafayette Club community, located south of Metro West with 16 luxury home sites for discerning buyers. ABD Development becomes involved in the StoneyBrook East project, buying tracts from Lennar and building three communities: Huntington Run (80 lots), Buckingham Run (34 lots), and Teton Stone Run (65 lots). All three communities sell out quickly.
Bay Harbour breaks ground: this upscale development of 75 lots within the Phillips Landing community of Dr. Phillips is in high demand and sells out fast.
The construction of Palma Vista in Metro West begins, in which 90 high-end homes sell quickly. Magnolia Park also debuts, consisting of 32 high end one-acre home sites in Windermere.
The ABD Story begins with the first project that year, Vista Royal in Metro West, which consists of 72 Mediterranean-style homes that sell out in two years.
